Came across this verse in my Bible reading this morning, never noticed it before. It’s so cool how Jesus is mentioned or foreshadowed so many times in the Old Testament. We needed Him to be restored or in right relationship with God. We need Jesus every moment of every day, at least I know I do.

In Leviticus it talks a lot about all the sacrifices made in order for God to forgive the people and be in right standing, Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have His help everyday along with being able to spend eternity with our Saviour and our loved ones who have gone before us.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11

Life Lesson: Blood was sacred, since it stood for the life of human beings made in God’s image. So Christ’s blood had to be shed for the salvation of the world (see Romans 3:25; 5:9; Ephesians 1:7) The Charles F. Stanley Life Principle Bible NKJV
