Slow Down

I remember having to learn how to slow down during the panic attacks. My Counselor would tell me, today choose only 3 things that you feel need to be done. I would always have mental lists filled in my brain that I felt just had to be done. I never thought about tomorrow and that, that list could be moved to the next day. I was a perfectionist and everything had to be β€œjust so!” How grateful I am that I chose to make those heart changes. What heart changes do you need to make today, to help you slow down and find some rest? Or to relieve some anxiety and stress?

During this time of covid-19 we are forced to slow down, spend time with our families and change our pace of life. Ours sorta changed, we were in the midst of our calving season so we still had to get the work done. But we did find time to play some card games and get in some family walks. Take advantage of this time that is all out of our control to change things. The only thing we can change is our attitude during this time.

Are you in a hurry, flurried, distressed? Look up! See the Man in the Glory! Let the face of Jesus shine upon you-the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. -Hudson Taylor-

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! -Psalm 46:10
